iZotope has announced that the latest version of their amazing industry-standard audio repair software, RX and RX Advanced, will be moving to version 4 in September. The new RX 4 and RX 4 Advanced are designed to give musicians, audio engineers, and post pros the tools they need to repair and rejuvenate damaged, flawed, or distorted audio. Full information isn’t available yet, but we do know that both RX 4 and RX 4 Advanced will include Clip Gain for non-destructively adjusting volume levels, a Dialogue Denoiser for reducing background noise in dialogue and vocals in real time, and perhaps most intriguing, RX Connect, a new technology that allows round-trip workflow between RX 4 and RX 4 Advanced and a DAW, such as Pro Tools, Logic, and more.
RX 4 Advanced will also add additional time-saving features as well as new tools such as Leveler for automatically balancing mix volume, and EQ Match for seamlessly matching the sonic profiles of multiple recordings.
But don’t wait for Version 4 to get started with RX or RX Advanced! If you purchase either RX 3 or RX 3 Advanced after July 1, 2014, you’ll receive a free upgrade to RX 4 or RX 4 Advanced, respectively, when the software becomes available in September. Special upgrade pricing will also be offered for owners of previous versions of RX and RX Advanced.
