Using Yamaha PSR-GX76 with Cubasis

I'm trying to record some MIDI tracks using the Yamaha PSR-GX76 into Cubasis VST and I can't get anything into Cubasis. Can anyone give me a few hints here, starting with how in the world do you set the local-off on the keyboard? The manuals that came with the comuter don't seem to be of much help. Is there any other setting on the keyboard that will enable it to send data through the MIDI port on the sound card? I'm not sure if the problem is a keyboard configuration problem or a MIDI setup problem.
