Audio Loops...can you change the key?

I'm a newbie in the world of sampling and audio loops so I apologize for the stupid question. I'm working on a tune in Logic Pro and there's a loop that I would like to change the key but unsure as to how or if it can be done? Most loops are two bars which can get an idea or groove started but it would be nice if it also responded to key changes which I know it can't...so I would like to know if there's a program or a way I can resample the loop and change it to another key while still keeping the old loop intact. I've been reading about Recycle and this may be the answer but I don't want to spend $199 only to find out it can't be done. Can an old-school musician who is overwhelmed by all the technology get some help? Thanks!
