recording midi drums help

garmon.chris@gmail.com

Not sure if this is a roland question or a pro tools question
Using a PC, trying to record MIDI data in protools9 from a Roland TD-4 midi drumset. Anybody know how to re-assign a trigger to a different midi note on the piano roll? The hat trigger has several different notes with it: the top, and the edge are a different note and when I hit the edge, it shows up an octave below the top on the piano roll. HELP!!!

It is easier to assign it to the same note, but if you do that, you will lose that distinction. The easiest way to do it is by going through the menu button on the TD4 in the MIDI section, you can reassign the notes transmitted.
