Honz here again. After having my Bongo back for 18 mos., I started having neck issues again. Yep, you guessed it and local Vegas guitar luthier Niel Smith confirmed for me... The neck is warped!UGH!!!'Sent it to EBMM, thankfully they will warranty neck #2 and build neck #3 for me.I can't help but think about selling it once I get it back.Maybe Rosewood is not good neck material?Maybe the wood used was not properly aged?Ughhhhhhh very frustrated. Considering a new instrument.Honz
I purchased an Albert Lee with a solid rosewood neck and it warped at about 4 months (store had it for about 4 months before i purchased it as well)They currently have a JPX Ball family reserve that the neck is twisted as well as an axis that has the same issue. I love how the EB guitars feel but i cant bring myself to buy one again. I have had a PRS Custom 24 with a solid rosewood neck for 3 years with no issues. I seldom even have to adjust it.I would like to add that most of the stingray basses on the wall have had no issues (though all are maple necks)
