Korg

In over half a century of continuous innovation, Korg has introduced and advanced many aspects of electronic music technology and keyboard design. It began in 1963, when Tsutomu Katoh and Tadashi Osanai created their original Doncamatic DA-20 disc rotary electric auto rhythm machine. Korg quickly bloomed into a full-fledged electronic organ company, until they embraced the fledgling synthesizer market emerging in the mid-’70s. From key transpose functions and onboard effects to sample + synthesis sound design, the keyboard world owes many industry-standard technologies to Korg.

New. Music. Always.

With a one-of-a-kind origin story and a celebrated history of instrument design, Korg consistently delivers innovative products that fuel a musician’s natural creativity. Korg’s philosophy of continual improvement and uncompromising dedication to quality craftsmanship shines through every product in the Korg catalog.

Fantastic Musical Innovations Since 1963

Korg has never followed the status quo, even from their humble beginnings in Tokyo, Japan. Korg’s early products broke through preconceived barriers. They provided top-drawer sound quality with user-friendly controls that brought joy to the player. Today, Korg continues to deliver new, innovative sounds with an unbeatable fun factor.

Expressive Sound Meets Easy Workflow

Throughout their entire product catalog — from the affordable volca synthesizers to the flagship arrangers, workstations, and pianos — Korg has the right product for any sound design situation. Whichever product you choose, you can expect expressive and flexible sound, accessible user interfaces, and exceptional build quality.

Analog for All

In recent years, the world has seen an analog renaissance, and Korg’s right on the leading edge. In fact, Korg has reissued its vintage analog equipment such as the MS-20 series and the miniKORG 700S — their first mass-produced synth. The company's “Logue” series offers analog signal paths alongside their exclusive MULTI open-source digital engine. With a Logue series instrument, you can create your own oscillators and effects or download third-party effects to customize your sound.

Right at Home — Your Home

Korg’s products aren’t limited to the stage! They have an entire line of home digital pianos that inspire players to keep practicing and improving. The company’s B2 series comes with USB audio and MIDI connectivity for learning and recording. What’s more, the flagship Japanese-made GB1 Air concert piano offers the company’s finest hammer-action keybed, gorgeously sampled piano sounds, and even Bluetooth connectivity. Whether you’re looking for your first digital piano or your last, there’s a Korg piano for you.

Leaders in Performance

The term “workstation” was coined to describe the iconic M1. Korg combined their best sounds, recording technology, and effects into the original workstation keyboard to take creativity to the next level. Today, Korg continues to push the boundaries. Take the Nautilus, for example. It includes thousands of sounds, inspiring effects, MIDI and audio I/O, and a complete sampling and editing suite — all in one chassis onstage and in the studio.

Always in Tune

Korg doesn’t just make world-leading synthesizers and digital pianos. The company’s innovative approach has taken them in many different directions. Over the years, Korg has developed drum machines, mixers, and even a line of rock-solid tuners! And here’s a fun fact: Korg’s WT-10 tuner was actually the first handheld needle-based chromatic tuner in the world! Today, Korg offers a range of tuners and metronomes for everyone from the beginner ukulele player to band teachers.
