Yamaha AW 16G

I've been having a very difficult time getting my AW16G to sync with my Cubase SX3.I've tried everything that the manuals tell me to do but to no avail.maybe there's someone out there who can help me to solve this enigma.

This is about the closest article I could find on this. Hopefully the article is helpful. The specifics are different but the concepts are the same.

Pre or Post usually with metering usually means before or after the compressor. Peak and RMS are two different ways of measuring the signal but have nothing to do with what you hear.
I am confused as to what you are asking. What gear are you using?
