DAE 1115 Error

toneman

Is anyone else having trouble with their DIGI 002? I am running PTLE 7.0 on a MusicXPC M3 laptop and using a Glyph GT firewire hard drive (on a seperate firewire bus). I get a DAE 1115 error when I launch Pro Tools and then the 002 goes into standby. I didn't find any fixes that worked on the Digidesign site so I am hoping someone can help me here before I pull the rest of my hair out.
Thanks

searching on Digi's site, here are some possible answers, more up there
DAE -6096 or DAE -1115, FireWire communication problems.
On some Windows XP computers, if a DAE error -6096 or -1115 occur, or you experience random communication problems between Digi 002 and Pro Tools, try disabling "PCI to DRAM prefetch" in the BIOS Setup utility.
This can be found in the BIOS > Advanced > Chip configuration.
DAE error -1115 when opening / closing Pro Tools.
make sure your motherboard's chipset is qualified to run with Digi 002.
Some SiS chipsets (for example the Sis746 north bridge) are known to have problems handling the communication between Pro Tools LE and the Digi 002, which causes these problems.
this was seen on a PC running an ECSK7S7AG motherboard with a SiS746 chipset

Try shutting down your machine and restarting it. Before you log back on to ProTools, turn off all other extraneous aps such as webcam, firefox, just anything you can. Then restart ProTools. This error occurs when memory is getting eaten up by other stuff. Try the simple solution first and if it doesn't work, then go for the big guns.
