I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and picked up guitar for the first time at age nine. It wasn't long before I was pulling apart my parents' home stereo to figure out how to record myself (for the record, they were incredibly supportive, even if the stereo didn't work quite right after that). I recorded and played in bands throughout my teenage years, and got my first "real" recording rig with my USAF enlistment bonus. I pursued music-recording full-time when I got out of the military, and was lucky enough to have some incredibly talented engineers willing to show me the ropes. At the same time, I pursued and completed a degree program in Music Recording Technology, and worked in positions at PBS, several other live sound companies, and a top-tier recording studio in Pennsylvania. In 2007, I decided it was time for a change, and have been (happily) with Sweetwater ever since. I still play or record almost every day, not to mention constantly using the tools Sweetwater has available to me (training, certifications, etc.) to stay on the bleeding edge of what is happening with music instruments and technology.

I am an avid gamer as well as being an unabashed bookworm, a web development hobbyist (I know just enough about C++, SQL, PHP, and the like to be incredibly dangerous), sports fan, hack photographer, and bicycling enthusiast.

I've worked extensively on both sides of the studio glass, so I understand the particular needs and concerns of both musicians and engineers. It gives me a unique perspective when helping my clients, and allows me to give customers an incredibly high level of service and support.
Honestly, it's a tie between the joy working with an incredible group of clients from all walks of life and musical backgrounds, and being constantly surrounded by the funniest, most knowledgeable, and professional group of musicians and engineers in the world.
