My career as a recording engineer and music producer has been a long series of seemingly unrelated happenings that somehow ended up really working out. I started recording in 1986 on a simple yamaha 4-track casette recorder. Then on to school at Ball State University where I studied music performance (guitar) and computer science. During college I continued to dabble with recording and ended up producing and engineering a few radio commercials as well as recording demos for bands. I performed in classical guitar concerts and various jazz ensembles as well as in two rock music bands. I am not exactly sure how this happened but I ended up playing bass guitar in the BSU basketball pep band and bass drum in the marching band drum line as well.
After college, I worked at Crutchfield Corporation in the computer department. By 1997 I had saved enough money to start my first recording studio with support from two investors. It was a lot of work but we managed to do well in the Charlottesville Virginia community. Some of you may know of another internationally known artist that was also based out of Charlottesville. The next thing I know, I am working on a huge archive project, doing light-duty audio mixing and side recording projects for this band. And then next I am engineering music for motion picture soundtracks, and recording my first platinum album, and mixing countless live albums, and then flying all over the US and around the world doing live broadcast mixes.
I have been fortunate enough to stand in the presence of some of the best musicians in the world and also be the guy to responsible for getting "that sound". Now I have the opportunity draw on a lifetime of experience to support my Sweetwater customers. Let's talk about your sound and your music.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Absolutely amazed by the personal service on our order! It is obvious customer satisfaction is a priority. Your company would be the first place we would look for music related items. Great prices, great service and BTW, even the little touch of adding some candy made my kids very pleased! Thank you!
David from Renton, WA
I have to say it's the most personal order I've ever made from the pre-ship phone call, to the email, and finally the candy in the box. Thanks! I don't think I could beat the customer service even in a local shop
