The Next Generation of BBE's Acclaimed Pedal

Sweetwater is proud to announce the next generation of BBE’s acclaimed Sonic Maximizer pedal: the Sonic Stomp Pro! Delivering the same clarity, punch, and definition as the acclaimed 482i Sonic Maximizer — but without the extra rackmount bulk — the BBE Sonic Stomp Pro is a standard-sized effects pedal that will integrate seamlessly into any guitar rig. This iteration of BBE’s famous pedal offers the same hard-wired bypass with reengineered features like extended dynamic range, a Focus control for midrange frequencies, and a BBE 2153 Pro chip that delivers high-headroom and lower noise performance. Lastly, the Sonic Stomp Pro is topped off with up to +14dB of dynamic range to add a little extra juice to your signal.

BBE Sonic Stomp Pro Sonic Maximizer Pedal Features:

  • Reinvigorate your signal with natural-sounding depth and clarity
  • Foot-pedal version of the acclaimed BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer
  • Use with a range of instruments from guitars to basses to keyboard and synths
  • Provides high-headroom and low noise performance
  • Lo Contour, Process, and Focus knobs help you dial in your desired sound
  • Up to +14dB of dynamic range to add a little extra juice to your signal.
  • True hard-wired bypass for clear signal

Something to make your tone quest a bit easier!

I use this unit for tone shaping post front of amp pedals, pre amp – so it really is more of an "amp" pedal. The "sweep" of all 3 controls is impressive yet very easy to dial in. For guitars I have found this unit to be easier to tweak my tone than other equalizer/sound mod. pedals I've had in this position – and it does it well with excellent fidelity. Very easy Lo contour shapes your low end, Process is similar to a presence control on an amp but it also "widens" the sound – very musically - doesn't sound squeezed at all. The Focus setting really makes this a "just get it" unit for guitars – so easy to find the perfect midrange in any mix. I have an old BBE unit on a Roland GA112 (that doesn't have the Focus control) which is still good and keys and synths run through this. That old BBE was why I tried this new one. The old one is fine – this new unit is superior in every way. Range, quietness, build quality & ease of operating. Excellent product.

Every amp always on

It takes the blanket off your amp and speakers ya never knew ya had on them !! With the new mod range.. it takes under a minute to dial in and you're good to go. They absolutely shine in the effects loop. Gregg Block was a hero recommending this pedal. I bought a second one so I can have one in each amp. Used correctly this thing is a game changer

Hands down the secret to my rigs

As a musician half the journey is finding your sound. I've spent years tone chasing and my secret weapon as of late is the sonic stomp pro. Whether its to add some shimmer to my cleans or tighten up my OD this is my ALWAYS on pedal. I love it so much I have 3 of them for each of my boards as well as my studio rig. This also works incredibly well with modelers and profilers. It really brings them to life. So in closing if you are an audiophile and want to add a certain shimmer or tightness to your sound as well as have simplicity (who wants to sit there and tweak a 10 band eq for hours?!?!) GET THIS PEDAL!

A must have pedal.

If you are reading this, you know what this pedal is all about. I had a rack-mount back in the day and when it quit working I bought a Sonic Stomp. Was on my board and always on. When I saw this new and improved version I had to have it. The main thing about this pedal is the mid-range focus. Turn it to the left or right it increases or decreases the midrange. I find this to be more of an amp pedal as much as a guitar pedal. I say that because with a Fender amp it balances the tone of the amp. I play Telecasters through a Princeton,5e3 Deluxe and a Deluxe Reverb, and I have to say the sound is amazing. A true always on pedal. Highly, highly recommended.
Music background: 45 years playing and recording.
