Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Bass Guitar Strings

Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball's music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. From shredders to acoustic virtuosos, Sweetwater guitarists love Ernie Ball strings for their great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can't go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

Sound and feel great

I just purchased this for my acoustic bass and they feel and sound great. They have a nice mellow but still bright enough tone.

Earthwood Acoustic Bass guitar strings

I've been using these strings for a few years now. They feel great under my fingers, and they sound bright and clear - not sharp or thin. They retain their good tone for a long, long time, even after their shiny appearance has dulled.
Music background: hobby musician (church and a band) and home recorder.

Earthwood Acoustic Bass Strings

I do like these strings more than the Martin strings I usual use because they are brighter .. I do wish that they were a little louder, but these are really good strings. These strings just articulate better. I just put them on a couple weeks ago and they haven't lost there tone or sustainability yet.

Underwhelmed

The Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic bass strings suffer a reoccurring problem - short lifespan. After a day, the strings lose the bright punch they have out of the bag. After a few weeks, the strings get very dull sounding, losing almost all of the brightness and tonal clarity. And after a month, the strings start going brown and rust a bit. And mind you, I keep my guitar in a case in 4 days a week.
I had really high hopes for these strings, but they've left me disappointed.
Music background: Jazz, Funk, Rock, Blues
