|Sweetwater Hires 21 Employees|
| Music Technology Retailer Adds 11 Sales Engineers
Fort Wayne, IN. April 10, 2012 - Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro-audio retailer in the U.S., recently hired 21 new employees, including 11 Sales Engineers. The new hires bring Sweetwater's total number of employees to 460.
Sales Engineer Mike Godlove lives in Columbia City. He worked for the Department of Defense as a contractor building audio equipment. He holds a BS in Recording Arts from Full Sail University and plays numerous instruments.
Sales Engineer David Cochran is from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has a certificate in audio engineering from Washtenaw Community College and a BA from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. He is a bass guitar player.
Sales Engineer Paul Eckert is from Great Falls, Virginia. He holds a BA from The Art Institute of Washington. He worked in sales at both Borders and Best Buy. He plays drums, guitar, and bass.
Sales Engineer Ben Gilbert is from South Carolina. He holds two bachelors degrees from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He owned his own company for five years in Nashville, specializing in music video production for many major record labels and artists.
Sales Engineer Andy Rice holds a BM in Jazz Performance from the University of Southern Maine and an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He is a bass player and a singer.
Sales Engineer Lindsey Becker is originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota. She received a degree in audio recording and music business from Five Townes College in New York. She plays guitar, sings, and is a recording engineer.
Sales Engineer Matt Krause is a Fort Wayne native who has attended Purdue and the University of St. Francis for music technology and pre-med. He plays guitar, keyboards, violin, flute, oboe, and trumpet.
Sales Engineer Tom Koch is a native of Ossian, Indiana. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a certificate in audio engineering from The Recording Workshop in Ohio. He is a member of the Indiana Air National Guard and plays guitar.
Sales Engineer Gilbert Janke is from Parma, Ohio. He graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in recording arts. He has worked for a live sound company and has done installations in churches and clubs. He is a drummer and also plays piano and trumpet.
Sales Engineer Aaron Christy is from Ottumwa, Iowa, and is a graduate of McNally Smith in St. Paul in audio engineering. He is a guitar player.
Sales Engineer Ben Yarger has been promoted from Shipping Specialist. Ben is from Waterloo, Indiana, and plays guitar in a praise band at The Pointe Church.
Photographer Elizabeth Huffer graduated from Indiana University with a degree in visual communication & design. She owned her own photography business for six years and most recently worked for Wayne Fasteners.
Custodian Amanda Jackson is currently attending Ivy Tech Community College for criminal justice.
Mechanical Technician Jim Parker worked for Current Mechanical for 12 years.
Shipping Specialist Cindy Cooper is from Fort Wayne and worked at Custom Art Screen Printing for 11 years as a shipping supervisor.
Shipping Specialist Ritchie DelBosque is also from Fort Wayne and worked in the shipping department at Peyton's Northern and Vera Bradley.
Shipping Specialist Nate Green lives in Churubusco. He worked for Discount Comic Book Service for two years.
Shipping Specialist Stuart Hatfield lives in Churubusco. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ferris State University and a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. He most recently worked for Lincoln Foodservice.
Shipping Specialist Mason Ostrander recently graduated from Concordia High School. He most recently worked for Vera Bradley as a packer.
Shipping Specialist Matt Browning is from Fort Wayne and most recently worked for Discount Comic Book Service and is the AV technician for Rider Productions.
Food Preparer in the Downbeat Diner, James Baughman worked for Caruso's as a line cook for three years.
