Sweetwater Hires 16 New Employees
Music Technology Retailer Adds Eight to Sales Force

Fort Wayne, IN, February 8, 2011 - Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro-audio retailer in the U.S., recently hired 16 new employees, with half coming from outside of Indiana. The retailer added two to the Merchandising Department and eight new employees to the Sales Department. The new hires bring total Sweetwater employment to 430.

Senior Category Manager Jon Croft is from the L.A. area. He will merchandise guitars and drums. Most recently, he was the National Platinum Guitar Manager for Guitar Center at their corporate headquarters in California, responsible for all higher end guitars.

Senior Category Manager Matt Duncan is from Medford, Oregon, where he was the buyer of Amps, Pedals and Effects for Musician's Friend, a role he will continue at Sweetwater.

Sales Engineer Marshall Oliver is from Bridgeport, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Industry Management from Ferris State University. Since graduating last year he has been doing freelance production of electronic and hip-hop music.

Sales Engineer Ryan Schmidt is from Westerville, Ohio. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Business from Full Sail in Orlando, and five years of retail sales experience working at Sherwin Williams.

Sales Engineer Patrick Butler is from the Columbus, Ohio area. He holds a degree in audio production from Ohio University and has retail sales experience with Kohls.

Sales Engineer Chris Leonard is a Fort Wayne native with a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology from Ball State University. He ran live sound at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and had studio internships at Sweetwater and at The Chicago Recording Company studios.

Sales Engineer Aaron Regenold is a Fort Wayne native with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from The University of St. Francis. He interned in the studios at Sweetwater.

Sales Engineer Patrick Nelson hails from Danville, Kentucky. He attended The Conservatory for Recoding Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, and has been an audio engineer for the past four years for the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville.

Sales Engineer Alan Miller is from Oakdale, Connecticut and has over 15 years of experience working in Michigan for Ron's Guitars and then Guitar Center as both a sales manager and top sales person.

Sales Engineer Ben Robinson is from Portage, Indiana. He holds a certificate in Recording Arts and Music Business from The Music Industry Workshop in Chicago.

Sales Assistant Roq Martin moved to Fort Wayne from Kentucky. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Murray State University in CTE Business and Marketing.

Sales Assistant Niki Ault lives in Zanesville, IN. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of St. Francis.

Sales Assistant Tina Parisot is a Fort Wayne native and most recently worked for Trelan Nursery as an office manager/bookkeeper.

Videographer Derek Kratzer has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University. He was an intern at Sweetwater and worked for WANE_TV for three years as Newsroom Assistant/Photographer.

Receptionist Audrey Clark is currently attending the University of St. Francis for a degree in Public Relations. She worked as an intern for Oasis Radio Group.

Parts Coordinator Travis Kreager has an audio technology degree from SAE Institute of Technology Miami.
