|Sweetwater Hires 14 New Employees|
| Music Technology Retailer Adds Thirteen to Its Sales Force -
Fort Wayne, IN, June 29, 2010 - Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, recently hired 14 new employees. Ten are new Sales Engineers, eight of whom are from outside Indiana, and three are sales assistants. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 390.
Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack remarked, "Sweetwater has an ongoing program to invest in its workforce, particularly in the sales area. We continue to hire the best and brightest young people interested in music and music making to help us reach an ever-growing customer base and to provide first-rate customer service and technical expertise."
Sales Engineer Tyler Von Moll is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and received his Bachelors Degree in Music Production from Ohio University.
Sales Engineer John Ptak hails from Lakemoor, Illinois, and is a recent graduate of Milikin University in Decatur, Illinois, with a degree in Commercial Music. He is a guitar player and most recently worked for Millitrax Recording Studio as a studio manager.
Sales Engineer Geoffrey Allen is from Albany, New York, where he received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Albany in Music Technology. He has been a guitar player for over 10 years and toured with a band in Germany and Mexico.
Sales Engineer Josh Estock is from Catlin, Illinois, and just graduated from Milikin University with a degree in Marketing and Music. He most recently worked as a Student Research Specialist at Milikin University's Center of Entrepreneurship.
Sales Engineer Zach Neels is from Quad City, Illinois, and received his Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting News and Performance with a minor in Music Business from Western Illinois University.
Sales Engineer Brandon Smits is from Fort Wayne and graduated from IPFW with a degree in Media and Public Communication. He worked for Guitar Center for three years.
Sales Engineer Stephen Gallagher is from Queens, New York, where he worked in audio post production at 38 Greene Studios. He has a Bachelors Degree in Music from Caldwell College and a certificate from the Institute of Audio Research in New York City.
Sales Engineer Cody Allen from Placerville, California, has a certificate in Audio Engineering from Pinnacle College in Rancho Cordova, California.
Sales Engineer Corey Reynolds, who recently moved to Angola from Missouri, has an AAS in Music Production from McNally Smith in St. Paul, Minnesota.
A.J. Becerra, who joined Sweetwater in 2006 as a Sales Assistant, has been promoted to the position of Sales Engineer.
Print Coordinator Dorsey Price has decades of experience in the newspaper industry, most recently as Editorial Manager of Systems and Design for the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Ball State. Prior to being in the newspaper industry, Dorsey was a marketing assistant with Chesbro Music on the West Coast.
Part-time sales person Dontae Harris will work in Sweetwater's local retail store. He recently moved to Fort Wayne from Sarasota, Florida, where he worked as a worship leader. He has a BS in Religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and an AA in Electronics.
Sales Assistant Emily Kunkle, from West Unity, Ohio, has a Bachelors Degree from Capitol University. She has been an accounting assistant for the past eight years.
Sales Assistant Austin Foreman is from Pierceton, Indiana, and received his Associate Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail in Orlando.
Sales Assistant Jared Johnson was most recently a shipping specialist at Sweetwater.
Cord Ungerer has joined the Nutrition Center. He is attending IPFW, majoring in Criminal Justice.
