Sweetwater Customers Can Hold Orders at FedEx Locations |
| The country's largest online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear is making it safer and easier for customers who worry about theft after their packages are delivered. Sweetwater announced a new shopping cart integration with FedEx that will allow customers to order and hold packages for pickup at more than 11,000 FedEx locations throughout the United States, including 1,900 FedEx Office retail stores. Packages can be stored securely and free of charge for up to five business days. This new option provides peace-of-mind by shipping to secure, convenient locations. "This collaboration allows us to serve our customers in a whole new way," said Mike Clem, Sweetwater Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer. "FedEx has always been an important part of our delivery process and this takes that to a new level. Customers can already rely on FedEx to deliver packages from Sweetwater in a timely, reliable manner. Now they'll also have the added convenience of the FedEx Retail Network." When customers check out, they simply indicate they want their package to be shipped to the FedEx location of their choice, including FedEx Office stores as well as Walgreens, Kroger and Albertson's. FedEx will alert the customer once it's delivered. |
