Sweetwater Welcomes 27 New Employees

Sweetwater is pleased to announce the hiring of 19 new sales engineers and one sales apprentice along with seven other salaried employees.

Stephen Styles – Manager of Training and Development. Stephen joins Sweetwater from Chicago, where he recently worked as director of programming at the Musical Arts Institute. He also has his own consulting business, serving non-profit, faith-based and corporate clients.

Connor Gilliom – Web Software Engineer. Connor is from Bluffton and is in the process of completing his degree in computer science from Purdue Fort Wayne. He has spent the last couple of years working for the university.

Robert Tyner – DevOps Engineer. Robert joins Sweetwater from Tujunga, California, where he has spent the last several years working as a DevOps engineer for companies like Nordstrom Rack/Hautelook and SSI, International.

Deana Lawson – Inventory Planner. Deana is originally from Massachusetts but has been in Fort Wayne for the last several years as an inventory planning analyst and logistics specialist for Vera Bradley Designs.

Shannon Scirghio – Web Software Engineer. Shannon has recently relocated from Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked for F5 Web Development. Prior to that, she spent time in China teaching English as a foreign language.

Mikaela Caron - Special Projects Software Engineer. Mikaela joins us from Brownsburg, Indiana. She has spent the last several years working for Nucor Steel. She attended Purdue and has degrees in mechatronics and robotic engineering technology.

Will Holmes - Linux Systems Administrator. Will has recently relocated from Fremont, Michigan, where has spent the last 15 years working as a network and infrastructure administrator for Fremont Insurance.

Jake Hersha – Sales Engineer. Jake has been promoted from our Music Store. He's a Fort Wayne native and attended Purdue Fort Wayne.

Brian Garza – Sales Engineer. Brian started his career at Sweetwater in 2017, first working in the distribution center and later as a sales account coordinator. He is originally from Houston, Texas.

Seth Hughes – Sales Engineer. Seth has been promoted to sales engineer after working in the distribution center and as a sales account coordinator. He is originally from central Indiana.

Collin Blue – Sales Engineer. Collin has recently relocated from Seattle, Washington, where he spent the last decade working as a general manager at Guitar Center and a digital media producer for Grasshopper Enrichment.

Jeremiah Smith – Sales Engineer. Jeremiah is from Peoria, Illinois and holds a degree in music industry studies from Greenville University. He worked as a staff engineer and resident assistant for Greenville University and interned at The Rock Solid Studio.

Gary Tyler – Sales Engineer. Gary has recently relocated from Portage, Michigan, where he worked as a sales consultant for Denooyer Ford. Prior to that he was a sales associate for Guitar Center.

Phil Wallace – Sales Engineer. Phil joins Sweetwater from Chicago, where he spent the last several years as an audio event technician for Digerati Productions as well as a freelance AV technician for A-V Services. He holds a degree in audio technology from SAE Institute of Technology.

David Ashley – Sales Engineer. David has recently relocated from Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked as an audio technician for Nudies Honky Tonk. He holds a degree in music production from Full Sail University.

Pablo Murcia – Sales Engineer. Pablo joins Sweetwater from Tamarac, Florida. He has spent the last several years working as a posting specialist for Envision Physician Services.

Jim Ridings – Sales Engineer. Jim joins us from Greenville, Texas and comes with over 26 years of retail, customer service and retail store management experience. He holds a degree in recording technology from Cedar Valley College.

Jay Dyer – Sales Engineer. Jay comes to Fort Wayne from Seymore, Tennessee. He earned his bachelor's degree in music production from Full Sail University. Prior to attending Full Sail, Jay served in active duty for 10 years in the Air Force and also served with the National Guard.

Derek Spaulding – Sales Engineer. Derek Spaulding joins Sweetwater from Columbus, Ohio, where he spent the last several years as a top sales associate at Guitar Center.

Peter Turner – Sales Engineer. Peter has recently relocated from Savannah, Georgia. He holds a bachelor's degree in sound design from Savannah College of Art & Design. Peter worked as a freelance AV technician for Stage Front.

Steven Yanukla – Sales Engineer. Steven joins Sweetwater from the Chicago area. He has spent the last 16 years as the manager of corporate events and video production management with Abbott Laboratories.

Jared Spindler – Sales Engineer. Jared has recently relocated from Ottawa Lake, Michigan. He holds a degree in pastoral studies from Moody Bible Institute and has spent the last several years as a commercial driver for Autozone.

Ryan Haines – Sales Engineer. Ryan is a Fort Wayne native who holds a degree in communications from Purdue Fort Wayne. He spent the last two years as the creative services leader for Ash Brokerage. Prior to that, he was responsible for social and digital media for Granite Ridge Builders.

Tony Goicochea – Sales Engineer. Tony joins Sweetwater from McLean, Virginia. He has extensive experience in sales ranging from automotive and security solutions and recently served as a teacher and mentor with Fusion Academy in Tysons Corner, VA.

Paul Connolly – Sales Engineer. Paul is originally from Canada but recently relocated from Richmond, Texas. He has spent the last several years working in audio solutions for BrightBlueBeetle LLC. He holds a degree in recording engineering and production.

Cory Medina – Sales Engineer. Cory comes to Sweetwater from Commerce City, Colorado. He has spent the last 6 years working as an audio engineer for companies like Clearwing Productions and DSI Event Group.

Jason Austin – Sales Apprentice. Jason has recently relocated from Norwich, New York and holds a master's degree in Biblical studies from Clarks Summit University. He has spent the last several years as a worship and student ministry pastor for Calvary Baptist Church.
