Sweetwater Hires 19 New Employees

Sweetwater is pleased to announce the recent hiring of 19 employees.

Jessica Galvez, Sales Engineer - Jessica relocated from Southern California. She has a degree from Cal State East Bay and has retail experience with Sony, Guitar Center, and PSSL.

Tyler Nigro, Sales Engineer - Tyler is from Peachtree City, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in Music Management. While in school, he interned at Silent Sound Studios in Atlanta and taught violin, voice, piano, and guitar lessons at Atlanta School of Musical Arts.

Tom Phillips, Sales Engineer - Tom is a lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist from Fort Wayne with a Business Administration degree from Purdue Fort Wayne. He is also an experienced audio engineer & producer who ran his own company called Kerosec Productions. Tom is mainly a guitarist and singer but has also played bass, drums, keys and trombone.

Henry Himes, Sale Engineer - Henry comes to Sweetwater from Youngstown, Ohio. He has served as an Army officer and worked as an adjunct U.S. History professor at Youngstown State University. Henry plays the guitar and has a passion for synthesizers and synthwave music.

Dominick Lucenti, Sales Engineer - Dominick (Dom) found his way to Sweetwater from Woodstock, Connecticut. He has been playing guitar for 20 years in local bands and pit orchestras for musicals. Prior to Sweetwater, Dom worked at Deary's Gymnastic Supply as well as a small recording studio.

Daniel App, Sales Engineer - Daniel comes to Sweetwater from Gainesville, Florida. He has 20 years of experience in music and 10 years of experience in media. He is a serious musician and likes to work on music projects.

Austin Gerali, Sales Engineer - Austin hails from Chicago, Illinois. He grew up playing on and leading the worship teams at church and worked in music & auto retail for 5 years. He plays guitar, drums, bass, and is a classically- trained opera singer who sings Sinatra music in his free time.

Jimmy Itela, Sales Engineer - Jimmy moved from Congo, Africa to the United States at 9 years old. He joined the United States Marines Corps after completing high school, then attended Full Sail University and completed degrees in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business. Before joining Sweetwater, Jimmy spent 5 years working as an audio/visual engineer in Orlando, Florida.

Ben Cameron, Sales Engineer - Ben Cameron came to Sweetwater from Maumee, Ohio. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's in Arts with an emphasis on Audio Engineering. He enjoys recording, mixing, and playing finger-style acoustic guitar.

Joshua Carpenter, Sales Engineer - Joshua recently relocated from Granbury, Texas. He was a Sound Designer and Front of House Engineer at Granbury Theatre Company before coming to Sweetwater. He is a singer and plays guitar as a hobby.

Chance Chappell, Sales Engineer - Chance is originally from Oxford, North Carolina. He has a degree in Audio Production and Engineering and ran multimedia at Mount Olive Missionary. He also has been a freelance engineer for Ealy Music Group since 2016.

Dave Cody, Sales Engineer - Dave was recently promoted into the role of Sales Engineer. He is from Chicago, Illinois. His primary instrument has been electric bass for the last 39 years.

Perry Davis, Sales Engineer - Perry was recently promoted to the role of Sales Engineer. He is originally from Elba, Alabama and is a classically- trained guitarist. He earned his music degree from Troy University and has taught guitar both privately and on a collegiate level. He also writes and records progressive metal and orchestral music in his home studio.

Mike Wright, Sales Engineer - Mike comes to Sweetwater from Dayton, Ohio. He holds a degree in entrepreneurship, as well as certifications in audio engineering & music production. He is a guitarist and vocalist first, though will play whatever is handed to him.

Ben Toenges, Sales Engineer - Ben is a Fort Wayne native and recently graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a bachelor's degree in Music Business. He. has been an active freelance producer, engineer, and synthesis sound designer in the SoundCloud community for the past 7 years.

Jay Lingelbach, Software Engineer - Jay joins Sweetwater's marketing team as a Software Engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University and most recently worked for Boeing. Jay relocated from St. Louis, Missouri to join Sweetwater.

Nathan Plassman, Maintenance Technician - Nathan joins Sweetwater's Distribution Center maintenance team in a new role of DC Maintenance Technician. Most recently, Nathan was a Sr. Project Engineer for Advanced Machine & Tool Corporation. Nathan holds a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Northwest Technical College and brings 30+ years of engineering experience to our DC Maintenance Team.

Molly Gray, Copywriter - Molly is a Fort Wayne native with a bachelor's degree in English. Her past experience includes being a copywriter for Shindigz and a communications coordinator for Lutheran Health Network.

Bert Ehrmann, Web Developer - Bert is a Fort Wayne-area native who has joined Sweetwater as a Web Developer. His past experience includes web designing for companies like Ferguson Advertising, Lutheran Health Network, and Boyden & Youngblutt Advertising. He also wrote a bi-weekly column for the Fort Wayne Reader for 15 years on pop culture.
