Sweetwater Hires 17 New Employees

 
Sweetwater is pleased to announce the recent hiring of 17 new employees.

Gabriel Tucker – Social Media Coordinator. Gabriel studied Marketing and Political Science at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Prior to joining Sweetwater, Gabriel worked at Media Link Inc. as a Social Media Coordinator.

Shawn Fields – Senior Director of Marketing. Shawn has held multiple leadership positions in marketing with clients/employers such as Sears, Kmart, Merrill Lynch, Protective Life and worked on website and digital marketing initiatives for bands such as Cheap Trick, Everclear, and Smashing Pumpkins.

Laura Hepker – IT Project Manager. Laura is from Austin, TX where she has spent the last several years working as Technical Support Manager and Product Manager for Symphony Talent. She is a graduate of Taylor University.

Jay Creeden – Sales Engineer. Jay grew up in Chicago and has lived in Southern California for most of his adult life. His professional background has been primary in sales, working in finance and the tech sector. He started playing guitar when he was a kid, and switched to playing bass about 15 years ago, for various blues and classic rock cover bands in South Orange County.

Ryan Bellinger – Sales Engineer. Ryan is from outside Cleveland, Ohio, where he performed with various musical groups, worked as a drums/percussion instructor, and started his career in the music retail industry. He has been a multi-instrumentalist for almost twenty years and currently plays bass and sings for Sunset Harmony Band, a cover group local to the Cleveland area.

Bobby Yeager – Sales Engineer. Bobby is originally from the small town of Van Buren, IN and studied audio production at Ball State University. While at college, he interned in Nashville, TN at The Nashville Entrepreneur Center and Relationary Marketing, LLC producing podcasts from live events and studio sessions. In his spare time, he is a songwriter, avid guitar player, and has played in multiple bands playing many live shows all over the state of Indiana.

Dave Hoffman – Sales Engineer. Dave is originally from Indianapolis and is a lifelong musician who has played bass for over 20 years and trumpet for the last 10. He has been gigging with bands around the Indy area and currently does vocals in a band called ISHIA. He has been working in Sales and Project Mgmt at ICC floors.

Kyle Zililoux – Sales Engineer. Kyle is originally from Buffalo, NY and went to college in Milwaukee, studying audio production and engineering. While in school he interned at Audio Braille Literacy Enhancement where he recorded audio books for the visually impaired. Most recently he has engineered for Buffalo, NY thrash metal band Nuclear Winter.

Sebastian Vanegas – Sales Engineer. Sebastian Vanegas is originally from Medellin, Colombia but grew up in Miami, Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy and after his term, attended Miami Dade College for Film and TV production, then SAE Institute for audio engineering. He has been working as a recording and mixing engineer for the audio post and localization industry for over a decade.

Chad Powers – Sales Engineer. Chad Powers is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and went to college at Valdosta State University, grad school at Georgia State University, and received his doctorate from Ball State University. While pursuing his doctorate he taught music technology and theory, as well as engineering live sound for many concerts and school related events. Most recently, he composed the music for the film Popsy, based on a short film by Stephen King.
Brandon Bush – Sales Engineer. Brandon is from Columbus, Georgia and studied Audio Engineering and Post Production at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media. Brandon has been a drummer, guitarist, and songwriter for the Atlanta punk rock group "Lumbering Dinosaur" and was the drummer for the Atlanta based blues band "Bluestone".

Eriel Barcenes – Sales Engineer. Eriel Barcenas is originally from Union City, NJ. He studied business at Hudson County Community College and Audio Production and Engineering at the Institute of Audio research. Eriel has worked as a freelance Audio Engineer for 14 years, with works as diverse as music to a 19th century game recreation presented at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

Jerrod DeMott – Sales Engineer. Jerrod is originally from Battle Creek, MI and has studied industrial trades/engineering locally as well as through Villanova University. He comes from a long line of musicians and has been a lifelong musician himself, most recently as the lead guitarist for the original band "8 Foot Grimiss" and the cover band "Unsung", both bands of which he has recorded in his home studio.

Steven Cole Manning – Sales Engineer. Steven Cole is from Salt Lake City where he graduated from Broadview Entertainment Arts University's professional audio engineering degree program. He interned at Voices Now Studios and stayed on as a full-time audio engineer He is currently studying songwriting and producing at Berklee College of Music.

Jake Sordelet – Sales Engineer. Jake is from Fort Wayne and graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a bachelor's degree in Music Technology. He has spent the last 6 months in LA and worked in studios such as Paramount, HMG, and NRG and is currently part of a hip hop music production team whose credits include Future, Mac Miller, and more.

Zach Landrum – Sales Engineer. Zach is originally from Richmond, VA and went to school at Middle Tennessee State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Audio Production. While in school, Zach ran sound for a murder mystery theater, was a lab assistant and tutored students. Zach worked in the Sweetwater Studios as a summer intern.

Alejandro Orozco – Sales Engineer. Alejandro is originally from Mexico City and studied Audio Engineering at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Gilbert, Arizona. He has worked as a stagehand, AV and theater tech as well as in the studio. His years working in the audio industry have seen him working in concerts, university graduations, corporate audio, comedy shows, and even wrestling events.
