Sweetwater Academy of Music & Technology continues growth, adds lesson rooms and instructors |
| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 31, 2017 Sweetwater Academy of Music & Technology continues growth, adds lesson rooms and instructors Fort Wayne, Ind. — Northeast Indiana's leading destination for music lessons, Sweetwater Academy of Music & Technology, has recently expanded, with increased availability and flexibility to accommodate additional students and teachers. Nine new lesson rooms bring the total to 26, each equipped with state-of-the-art music equipment and technology. In addition, Sweetwater Academy has increased their roster of professional music educators to 33. Sweetwater Academy instructors are established professional musicians from a wide variety of genres and playing styles and can be matched with students of any playing level and ability. Lessons at Sweetwater Academy are available for guitar, piano, keyboard, drum, bass, ukulele, banjo, voice, songwriting, and recording, and are suitable for students of all ages. "This expansion has helped us continue to make music accessible for everyone. We can work around students' schedules, and we now have more rooms and instructors available to accommodate them," said Bob Bailey, Executive Director of Sweetwater Academy. "Plus, we offer convenient amenities that allow students to come take classes, grab a bite to eat, even get their hair cut! We believe music should be integrated into our students' day, not a disruption." Sweetwater students range from preschoolers to musicians in their 80s, and everywhere in between. Sweetwater Academy students' skill levels vary from children and adults who have never played an instrument to professionals looking to fine-tune their craft. Classes start as early as 10AM and go until 9PM, when Sweetwater closes its doors for the evening. "With school well underway, we have seen an increase in parents coming in for lessons after their children head to school for the day," continued Bailey. "It's a chance for mom, dad, grandma, or grandpa to get back in touch with their own passion for music, which often takes a backseat when kids come along. This is just one example of the growth we've experienced, hence the necessity to increase our space and instructor portfolio." Sweetwater Academy is located inside Sweetwater's main campus, just west of Fort Wayne on US Highway 30. ### About Sweetwater Sound Founded in 1979, Sweetwater is the No. 1 online retailer of music instruments and audio gear in the United States, and No. 2 in the world.
