Sweetwater Hires 22 New Employees

Fort Wayne, IN, October 7, 2015 - Sweetwater recently hired 22 new employees, including 8 new Sales Engineers, bringing total employment at Sweetwater to more than 925. Thirteen of the new employees come from outside Indiana.

Sales Engineer Josh Strid is from Howell, Michigan, and has a Bachelors of Science in Music Production from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL.

Sales Engineer James Shilliday is from St. Charles, Missouri, where he has been a music instructor at the School of Rock, teaching piano, drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and songwriting. He has a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies with a concentration in Music from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.

Sales Engineer Amarylis Sueing is a native of Georgia and studied music at Clark Atlanta University before getting her Master's of Music from Georgia Southern University.

Sales Engineer Kevin Manning is from Fort Drum, New York. He has been a member of the United States Army Band since 2007.Kevin has a BA in Music from Jacksonville State in Alabama.

Sales Engineer Trent Jones is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, where he went to the Nashville School of Arts.

Sales Engineer Evan Mehre is a native of Wisconsin and has BA in Music from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

Sales Engineer Chris Kress is from Danville, Indiana, and has a bachelors from Ball State. Since 1997 Chris has owned and managed recording studios in Virginia and Chicago, with clients including Dave Matthews Band, Ben Kweller, My Morning Jacket, Christina Aguilera, and Little Feat.

Sales Engineer Rachel Drach is a recent graduate of Vincennes University.

Sweetwater Studios Sales Representative John Vitale is from Roselle, Illinois, where he worked for 12 years at U.S. Music Corp/Jam Industries as the Director of Artist Relations.

Collections Specialist Kim Monroe has been working for MedPro in accounts receivable, billing, auditing, and customer service.

Marketing Data Specialist Joe Hughes is from Midland, Michigan, where he worked for Mid Michigan Music. He has studied audio production at both The Recording Workshop and SAE New York.

Photography Assistant Autumn Tibbits, a native of Michigan, has been working in music production at Colwell in Kendalville.

HR Talent Acquisition Specialist Chad Edmonds holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Writing from Spring Arbor University and has held management positions with Enterprise Car Rentals and The University of St. Francis, where he served as an Admissions Counselor.

Technical Support Manager Tom Steimel was most recently Operations Manager for Guitar Center's second largest store, located in Manhattan. He holds a B.A. in Music Industry Management from Ferris State University.

Tech Support Specialist Zach Gibson is from Hebron, Kentucky, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from University of St. Francis.

Guitar Evaluation Specialist Joe Kauser is from Paulding, Ohio. He has a certificate from the Recording Workshop.

Guitar Evaluation Specialist Ryan McLaughlin is from Barrington, Illinois, and was a recent graduate of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Arizona.

Guitar Evaluation Specialist Chris Barton has recently been writing guitar reviews for Autionata, a Germany based auction company.

Guitar Evaluation Specialist Dustin Deere is from Howell, Michigan, and studied audio engineering at Specs Howard School of Media Arts.

Material Handler Matt Brown has a degree from Ball State in television production.

Receptionist Katie Lewis is from Ohio, where she obtained her degree in anthropology from the University of Akron.

Receptionist Ashley Felger is attending IPFW for accounting.
