Sweetwater Hires 14 New Employees

Fort Wayne, IN, April 29, 2015 - Sweetwater recently hired 14 new employees, including six new Sales Engineers, bringing total employment at Sweetwater to more than 840. Eight of the new employees come from outside Indiana.

Sales Manager Frank Navarro has twenty years of music industry experience, having started in the southern California market with Guitar Center in 1995. He managed five different locations for the chain, one in Raleigh, North Carolina, and four others in the Chicago area. Most recently, he was a District Manager for Guitar Center in the Seattle, Washington area.

Senior Category Manager of Drums and Percussion Randy Pratt has a distinguished 17 year career with Musician's Friend in Bend, Oregon. For the past three years he was Director of Merchandising for Drums and Percussion at the Guitar Center headquarters in California.

Sales Engineer Chris Sonia is from Keene, New Hampshire. He's spent the past few years in phone sales and IT for PC Connection.

Sales Engineer Nick Huskins is from Brewer, Maine. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering from the New England School of Communications.

Sales Engineer John Short is from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and has spent the past 16 years in the US Army and National Guard. He has worked at Amazon as a member of their distribution team.

Sales Engineer Scott Bennett is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he most recently worked for Guitar Center. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Audio Production from Cornerstone University, and has served as a worship pastor, live sound engineer, and guitarist.

Sales Engineer Derek Kemp is a Fort Wayne native with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from IPFW.

Retail Store Sales Engineer Jacob Sherfield is a graduate of the University of St. Francis with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology.

Sales Assistant Logan McCarthy has a Bachelor's Degree in English Creative Writing with a Minor in Music Technology from the University of St. Francis.

Service Technician Casey Ware is from North Canton, Ohio, where he worked for several department stores on stocking and replenishment teams.

Theatre Assistant Lauren Glynn has an Associates Degree from Southwestern Michigan College in Vocal Performance and is currently attending the University of St. Francis music technology program.

Receptionist Jessica Moeller is attending the University of St. Francis for nursing.

Receptionist Melissa Eaton will be graduating from Indiana Tech in May with a degree in psychology.

Guitar Technician Andrew Berkey is a graduate from East Noble High School. He interned at The Guitar Infirmary in Auburn, Indiana.
