Sweetwater Hires 14 New Employees

Fort Wayne, IN, December 2, 2014 - Sweetwater recently hired 14 new employees, including eight new Sales Engineers, bringing total employment at Sweetwater to just fewer than 800. Five of the new employees come from outside Indiana.

Sales Engineer Rob Parker hails from Rosedale, Virginia and is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University's Recording Industry Management program, earning his Bachelor's Degree in 2014.

Sales Engineer Chris Jenkins is from Lancaster, California, where he has served as both a studio engineer and live sound technician at his church.

Sales Engineer Tomir Denton grew up in Syracuse, Indiana, and attended IPFW in Fort Wayne, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

Sales Engineer Ian McGhee grew up in Fort Wayne and is a graduate of the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio; he has run live sound for such acts as Merle Haggard and the Zac Brown Band.

Sales Engineer Justin Rix attended Davenport University in Grand Rapids. He is moving here from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he was Staff Engineer at Sound Kitchen Studios in Franklin, Tennessee.

Retail Store Sales Engineer Frank Gerdts is from Alpharetta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor's degree in Audio Production from Middle Tennessee State University.

Retail Store Sales Engineer Grant Bastin plays the guitar and bass guitar.

Retail Store Sales Engineer Jordan West has a Business Administration degree in English from Ball State University.

Sales Assistant Beth Albany has a Bachelor Degree from Lake Forest College in History and a Master or Art degree from Florida State University in Classical Studies.

Sales Assistant Rebecca Koverman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from Oakland University. She most recently worked for Oakland University in the Honors College and Admissions.

IT Specialist Martin Parks comes from Lubbock, Texas, where he was most recently Director of Marketing for EP Fitness and then Bodyworks, two local fitness center chains.

Receptionist Brianna Gamble is an opera singer and studied at IPFW in Vocal Performance.

Receptionist Sara Williamson is attending IPFW studying hospitality and tourism.

Service Administrator John Kidd went to the SAE Institute for Audio Engineering and has spent the past few years producing and engineering songs for artists.
