Sweetwater Hires 12 New Employees

 
Fort Wayne, IN, July 17, 2013 - Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro-audio retailer in the U.S., recently hired 12 new employees, bringing total employment to more than 560.

Kevin Christenson, Director of Sweetwater's popular Academy of Music music school is from Fort Wayne and received a Bachelors of Music Education from Indiana University. He was Snider High School's Assistant Director of Bands and recently produced the Snider Jazz Festival. Previously, he acquired three state championships as Director of Bands for East Allen County schools.

Sales Engineer Charlie Dembecki is from Newark, Ohio and earned a Bachelors in Audio Production after working in the optical business. He is both a guitarist and a drummer.

Sales Engineer Bart Amburn is from Parker City, Indiana. He received a Bachelors in Telecommunications and a Masters in Information and Communication from Ball State.

Sales Engineer Kenny Stratton attended the University of Nebraska for Music Business, but ultimately received his degree in Audio Production from IPR in Minneapolis.

Sales Engineer Aaron Hoff attended Indiana University and then transferred to Anderson University to complete a Bachelors in Music Business. He interned with Ernie Ball, Inc., the guitar string company.

Sales Engineer Steffen Gastineau is from Rensselaer, Indiana, and graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. He plays bass, guitar, keyboards, and drums.

Sales Engineer James Masterson is a Fort Wayne native. He previously worked as store manager and district trainer for Game Stop.

Sales Engineer Greg Feaster is from Fort Wayne and recently graduated with a Bachelors in Music Technology from the University of St. Francis.

Assistant Distribution Manager Bob Sallaz has 40 years of experience in the air freight business. He began his career as General Manager at Continental Airlines, moved on to be Director of Hub Operations, and then General Manager at Delta Airlines. He was most recently the Delta Global Services Station Manager.

Receptionist Marisa Martin plans to attend Ivy Tech in the fall for Elementary Special Education. She has worked for Pathfinder for 4 years as a Resident Assistant/Substitute.

Kitchen Staff Member Isaac Dees plays acoustic guitar and is a worship leader at his church.

Kitchen Staff Member Lisa Chantaca has worked as a supervisor and server at Oyster Bar, and as a server at Halls Restaurant.
