Consider updating your chipset software. This is not a guaranteed solution, but has been known to work in many cases. To update your Intel Chipset Software:
1. Go to intel.com and click on "Support & Downloads." 2. On the left-hand column, click on "Chipsets." 3. If you know the chipset model in your computer, skip to step 5. If not, under Intel Chipset Software, select "Intel Chipset Identification Utility," then click on "Download the Intel Chipset Identification Utility" on the next page. 4. Select on OS and press "Go!" There will be two options for chipset ID utilities; these are for different families of chipsets. It is recommended you download both. If one does not recognize the chipset, run the other. To run the utility, double-click on the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 5. Once you know the chipset model, make sure you are on the support.intel.com page. Select the corresponding family from among the choices listed. 6. Next to the chipset model, select the "Download" button under the column labeled "Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility." Select your OS and press "Go!" 7. Press the "Download" button across from the corresponding INF Update Utility. Make sure it is the most current version. Download and run the utility, and follow the on-screen instructions. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Your Intel chipset software will now be updated. You should ideally notice faster, increased performance with fewer crashes. If performance is the same as it was before you updated, try another solution or contact Sweetwater's Technical Support Team.
