How do I activate Dorico by Steinberg?
This process requires the use of eLicenser Control Center to activate your Dorico License. Before you begin, download and install the latest version of eLC, making sure to register your eLicenser at your MySteinberg account. If you have not used the eLC before, click here to learn more.
1. Log into your MySteinberg account. If you do not have a MySteinberg account, you may create one by clicking “Create Account”.
2. On the “My Products” page of your Steinberg account click “Register eLicenser/software–Enter Download Access Code” and copy/paste the “Download Access Code” that you received in the “Sweetwater Software Activation Instructions” email from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
3. On the “My Products” page, navigate to Dorico in the Downloads tab and download the installer for your operating system.
4. Launch Steinberg Download Assistant and download Dorico. This will open up a browser tab and begin your download.
*Note: You can change the download path by clicking the Settings button in Steinberg Download Assistant.
5. Once downloaded, navigate to the file, and extract (PC) or double click to launch the Installer (Mac).
6. Open the extracted folder (PC), and run the “Start Installation” file.
*Note: During the installation process, you can change the installation path, and what extensions are installed.
7. Once the installation is complete, launch Dorico.
8. The first time you launch Dorico, you will be prompted to enter the Activation code located inside the Dorico box or in an email from your Sweetwater Sales engineer.
