Marshall Amplification began in 1962 in the UK, where Jim Marshall had a music shop and taught drums. As drummers came to his shop, so came their guitarist bandmates. The guitarists spoke to Marshall about the qualities they were looking for in an amplifier - qualities that they couldn't find anywhere at that time. It was from such conversations that Marshall launched his amp business. It's a journey that he is still on today and still enjoys as much as ever.
