Audix was founded in 1984 in Redwood City, California and has since been producing cutting-edge microphones for both live and studio use. Of all their offerings, a few of the most notable are their D Series dynamic microphones. The D6, in particular, is a stellar kick drum microphone - praised for its "put it up and go" characteristics with virtually no need for EQ.
