Grace Design m201 ReviewsSweetwater Advice

Beautifully clear and clean with tons of headroom (and even up to 70dB in the
'ibbon mode), this Grace preamp is no exception to the wonderful build-quality and audio excellence of the whole Grace line. This 2-channel version goes well with any mic (where one wants clear, transparent, un-colored results), one of my favs to use with this pre is the Royer SF-24 stereo ribbon. Also Mike and Eben and all the Grace employees are super with supporting Sweetwater customers. Love their stuff! Customer Reviewsfrom Gilbert , AZ December 21, 2009Music Background: Recording engineer, producer, musician Search no longer, the Grace M201 is IT!!!The first time I heard Grace Mic pre's was in the 90's, the 801 to be exact, and I have always been blown away by the incredible accuracy and spaciousness of the Grace pre's. I also consulted with other engineers and studios who love the transparency, openness and shimmering clarity of this pre. It absolutely phenomenal, if you are wondering what to get, wonder no more! This pre is IT,THE FINAL WORD! In my opinion, nothing else comes close in value, features and sound, I can't believe what this thing contains in one package. Also, when people see it...they say.."Wow, that's a nice looking piece". In fact every wants to touch it, it looks and sounds like the Mercedes,BMW, Cadillac of gear, and it is! Get it, you won't regret it!!from Howell, Mi USA August 9, 2007Music Background: Hobbyist This is the one!If you need an all around coverage preamp that worksfor everything from DI Bass, ribbon mic and dynamic. This is the one you should get. It has the clarity and openess you'd expect from Grace. It will not paint you in a corner. You get what your source provides. You can manipulate from there
