These are the studio standard, and have been for years. They cost more 10 years ago than they do today, plus, they now have a quick disconnect replaceable cable. Great sound from AKG, and extremely comfortable.

Wow! These have the best sound of any pair of headphones I've ever used. At first I thought the flat sound might be boring to mix and listen to with, but now I'm enjoying music like never before. Now that these are $100, they beat all of the other ones of the same price, so why look any further? also these are probably the most comfortable headphones out there.
