Integrate virtually any iOS guitar app into your effects rig When IK Multimedia designed their iRig Stomp, they decided to give it a universal 1/8" TRRS connector, the same kind of connection built into most iOS devices. That means you can connect your iPad running IK's AmpliTube app or your iPhone equipped with a third-party guitar effects app (so long as it uses the headphone jack as its I/O), and it will work flawlessly with the iRig Stomp. High-end hardware for outstanding audio quality The iRig Stomp isn't just an adapter for your iOS device, it's stompbox style interface designed to give you the best possible sound quality. Not only does the iRig Stomp sport true-bypass switching, its also designed to accommodate anything from the blazing-hot output of active humbuckers to the quieter signal produced by passive single-coil pickups. And as an added bonus, IK even gave the iRig Stomp its own headphone output, so you can even use it for silent practice. Built road tough for a lifetime of serious use IK Multimedia built the iRig Stomp to be able to stand up to the rigors of everyday live use. Its solid, all-metal chassis and rugged footswitch are more than ready to handle serious use. Go ahead, stomp away! Show after show, you can be confident that your iRig Stomp will keep on performing. Love this for my iPhone 4S. Great way to play live or practice. Low latency low noise. I use it with Amplitube, AmpKit+ and JamUp the interface really shines with AmpKit+.
September 1, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist Great recording tool
by Al Terhune from Newcastle, WA
A wonderful tool, but if you don't adjust your volumes, both inputs and outputs correctly, you'll get distortion. Two sources you might not check are your phone and instrument volumes. Even though the... read more [+] display in settings shows LEDs that are below distortion, if your instrument signal is too hot, it will still clip - same with phone volume. Once you get your volumes correct, you can get ultra clean tones - should you desire. I have had the Amplitube app not work a couple of times, so hopefully that will be a bug that gets fixed. Bottom line is that for under $100, you get a lot of nice effects and interface for your instrument into an amp, P.A., or recording software (Pro Tools in my case). close [-]

by Brian from United States
Very nice pedal!! Much better than the original iRig. Easier to use with my guitar amp. Very sturdy and well made, doesn't feel cheap.

I like this product. I can't emphasise the enough. But, if your are looking for a multi effects substitute, this is not it. Don't rely on this to replace a good set of regular pedals or amp modeling.<... read more [+]br />
February 5, 2013 Music Background: Pro Musician The good side is almost entirely from recording. The outputs work great through a speaker or PA, but will not sound good through your regular amp. Regardless of the software you use. close [-] Nice but Needs work
by Mike from Trussvilla, AL
I use the pedal for live performances as a bass player. I love the fact that you can tap your Itunes music during a break and go right to a playlist. As far as being useful as a bass effects pedal, it... read more [+]s very noisy and emmit a constant hiss. Use the noise filter and you get no tone from you bass. I think it is more of an issue with the cable more so than the pedal itself. I get a lot of pops and cracks when the cable is disturbed even the smallest bit. close [-]
