Exactly what we needed

This mic was exactly what we needed to record audition excerpts using an iPad. We chose it over other mics because we needed some distance between the iPad and the musician to pick up clarity and tone in a larger space and other mics we looked at needed to be close to the source. We put the iPad on a tripod at 20-25 feet into an auditorium and got nice sound. Very versatile: it will get a lot of use moving forward as a way to record ensemble rehearsals, and I also plan to use it to record instructional video for an online course. Thank you Sweetwater for the helping us pick this out.

Great little mic for iPad recording

I have used this mic for livestream at our church in the past but this time I ordered for personal use. We needed to record a piano soundtrack for a slide show we were putting together for my Dad's 85th birthday. By downloading the Zoom app, HandyRecorder, I was able to record my Yamaha C5 grand piano by using my iPad close by the open lid, and then emailing (built into the share portion of the app) each track to my brother in law for him to lay on top of the slide show. The quality of the recording is amazing, with no special EQ of any kind. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a hi-def stereo recording of live music using an iPhone or iPad.

Works great for streaming

We use these mics on an iPad mini to stream our church services and they do a great job, plus brought life to audio which was flat and in mono. Now with ambient and full range stereo audio the music and speaking are greatly enhanced. Would highly recommend.

A handy tool!

I found the iQ6 to be a easy to use recorder, it works well the recordings are better than I would have thought. I use it mostly for recording rehearsals. Its great for the price, it may not be as good as a system triple its cost, but certainly does a good job. I have used it at a few shows and it did a fantastic recording from a distance. If your looking for a easy way to record but not wanting to break the bank this is a good choice.
