I was a PC

Ok..First of all, if you are on the fence about weather or not you want to give up your PC, get this machine and be done with it already. I was and still am a PC guy for many many years. My dad is a computer tech for over 35 years. I grew up with a PC in the house since they were able to be in the house. After receiving this computer last week, I haven't been able to tear myself away from it. I admit, it took a few days to feel out the Mac OS, but it is fairly intuitive for the most part. Say goodbye to all of the PC woes....I was going to grab the i7 with 2GB of video, but I started reading on other websites that they ran terribly warm ( One review stated that it increased the temp of his office by 5+ degrees!! ). I felt that what I did not need to spend the extra cash for something that I more than likely wouldn't miss. I was also lucky enough to get some extra RAM, upgrading to a full 16GB of RAM!! Save the cash from the i7 and buy extra RAM. You'll be glad you did. This thing is a monster and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dedicated machine for music. Funny enough, it also came with bootcamp, so I am also running windows 7 no problem, of course you will have a shit ton of updates to do, seeing how windows 7 has been out for quit some time. Thats normal anyway. Garage Band thats included is pretty cool. I run a fast track pro interface into Pro Tools 10. My Fast Track Pro installed in seconds and I was jamming in Garage Band in no time. Whats cool is that even though they are built in speakers, I was playing directly out of the iMAC from Garage Band. It literally sounded better than some of my practice amps! GET THIS....I called Matt Adams, and this guy had this thing on my doorstep in two days.

iMac

I would have been totally blown away if it were not for having to feel around on the back of this iMac for the power button because it is not conveniently located on the front of the unit like my iPhone, & iPad. Minor annoyance when I weigh it against the overall experience of working and playing on iconic work of art. Windows Schmindows, I am now a fully committed Apple guy. iMac boots in seconds, screams speedily between aps and web sites, and looks incredible standing on my desk. I could have saved myself a great deal of stress if I had converted to Apple much sooner.
