I love this mixer because it is so versitile. It's a nice (descent quality) small-format mixer. Plus being able to record and play from your ipod or computer is very nice. January 7, 2009 Music Background: Live Sound Engineer One interesting feature about the ipod dock is that you don't have to worry about all the different dock adapters. It has an adjustment knob to be able to fit different size ipods. The only complaints I have about it is that it's not rackmountable (some of the other alesis mixers are), as well as some very minor, minor picky issues about the design. It would be nice to have seperate EQ controls on the Ipod mixers. This sure beats having to use patch cables to use your Ipod through a PA system. Thank You Alesis for such a cool product. close [-]

I just purchased this mixer and tried it out in my studio. I wanted to be able to play and record from the ipod at the same time for gigs, which the Multiport claims to do. I figured it probably would since it's sort of a larger version, but I think they're trying to pack more features into the Multiport - maybe that's why it's not out yet. Another concern I have is that the buttons don't completely act the same. When you are playing a song and you go to menu to choose another, then click play/pause, it does not play the song listed, it pauses the song being played. In order to access the next song you must hit enter. So far these are my only concerns and I hope I can get used to the last one. Other than these two things, the mixer seems great and I'm sure I will enjoy it. close [-]
