Customer Reviewsfrom Texas March 15, 2011Music Background: Recording Engineer, Musician Great Sounding, Full Featured, Natural Sounding MicsIt's a bit puzzling to me that these mics are so far below the radar. They do everything, very well. They are half the price of a pair of Neumann KM184's, far more flexible with three position pad and roll off switches, and do not have any shrillness in the top end. They are very natural sounding mics! I've had them for a couple of years and they've produced great results as overheads, on acoustic and electric guitars, and surprisingly, even on a few vocal tracks. These mics feel extremely solid and were made in Germany by Sennheiser. If you need a great sounding pair of extremely versatile studio workhorse pencil condensers mics for a great price, look no further. The only possible negative I can think of is that for some strange reason, these particular mics don't seem to hold their resale value as well as the Neumann KM 184's and other Sennheiser mics for that matter, but that could be a positive for those interested in the secondhand market. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the pouches and clips are fantastic...the windscreens are just okay (they fit a little tight) but get the job done when needed. These are some of the most used mics in my studio....highly recommended. |
