I wasn't expecting much when I got this little amp, but it is definitely worth the price. You can get a decent clean to a screaming high gain tone from this. The ability to plug another device into ... read more [+]it makes it even more valuable. March 31, 2012 Music Background: Life Long Musician Here was the kicker for me, the headphone output allows you to use any other amp/system that can take an auxiliary input, Like: PA or another amp and even your car ! I practice while waiting in the car (for the wife, kids, or on roadtrips, etc) and it's just as clear as playing through an amp. Plus, you can still plug your mp3 player into the amPlug and jam along and it's all though the car's system. So you get: Portability - Flexibility - Jamability great tone (and the delay rocks) - Long battery life You won't regret getting one. close [-] Great Practice Option for Satch Tone and Soloing!

The Vox AmPlugs are fantastic - lightweight, plastic devices that take 2 AAA batteries, plug directly into your guitar and give you loads of tone and power for practicing with headphones. While the A... read more [+]C30 Amplug is the shining star of the line, I'm also happy with the Satriani signature model. Like the "Lead" Amplug, it has a delay option (though the delay time is fixed). It's basically like a fading echo effect, and really just adds depth to solo phrases. Since the Amplugs don't have reverb, it's a nice option to have.October 25, 2012 Music Background: Casual Player, Tone Hobbyist The overall tone is quite good, though it varies a great deal from guitar to guitar. I played it through a Jackson DR6, and it was fantastic. My Les Paul, not as much. I think it would excel with single coils. There is a constant "hiss" sound when you turn it on, but not noticeable during playing. The distortion works best on the higher gain settings, and it's a nice thick tone, which sustains nicely. Highly recommended, though you might want to investigate some of the other Amplugs first. close [-] Also popular
