This has incredible tone for it's size. Of course, you wouldn't want to record with one, and you couldn't gig with one! It is best for sharing, the tones you get from your amPlugs, with others. Initially I did not plan to buy this cabinet. I bought a Vox Twin amplug that I can take with me when I travel. I found out later on that the amplug did not have built in speaker! So I bought later ... read more [+]on this cabinet. I loved the sound it produced despite its tiny size. Now, I prefer playing my LP guitar on this in my room than on my Bugera V5 tube amp. Believe it or not!May 5, 2013 Music Background: Blues Hobbyist Here is why I did not like it: The indicator light comes on only when you plug the guitar cable into the cabinet, so it does not have an off/on Switch. What a shame Vox! If I decided to leave my cable plugged on over night, the battery is all gone. Lastly, the red indicator light is so dim, unlike that of the amplug unit. I plan on using this in a park by a tree, or by a lake in a quiet place with a friend or so. I also plan on recording a song in my room with it. I also agree with the previous review that Vox should have given this as a gift with the purchase of two amplugs or so. close [-] Great for the money!

Well, what can you expect from a 3" speaker? It's perfect, though, when I'm playing my solid body nylon stringed guitars and I don't want to wake anyone up.
