Vox amPlug works great! This is a neat little tool. I purchased this because my hearing is getting quite bad in noisy areas such as jams. Being a bluegrass player I play a lot of jams and find it very hard to hear my guitar breaks but with the amPlug that eliminates the problem. Just plug it in (if you have a jack in your instrument of which I do) and put in an earphone and problem solved. Would also work good as a personal monitor on stage. I love it!

amPlugs are Great! So I have two of these little guys: an Acoustic and a Bass amPlug. For what they're worth, these headphone amps do their job!
I bought my Bass amPlug to play at home and not disturb any of my relatives. The Acoustic amPlug I bought for school so as to not disturb my housemates.
The Bass amPlug gives you nice clean bass tones but can also dial in some nice chunky tones as well. Haven't played around with it much for slapping though.
I bought the Acoustic amPlug for use with my Traveler Ultra-Light Steel-string Guitar. It really brings out the nuances of the strings, from the attack to the release (I play fingerstyle). The "blend" option gives you a nice bright and shimmering tone and allows for much more than just the normal acoustic tones of the guitar.
All-in-all, I'm very happy with these headphone amps because they do what they're supposed to, and they do it very well!

Outstanding!Plugging this into a solid body nylon string guitar is a real treat! With ear buds, it's only so-so, but with my Sony Studio Monitor headset, it's really great! When I want to play without annoying everyone on the block, I can wail away, even drowning out my tinnitus. I had another brand that had all sorts of echoes, delays, flanging and so on, but it's junk compared to my Vox amPlug.

Really great solution. This is a nice little device with decent sound and nice features. I bought it to interface with my Traveler Guitar so I can practice on the road. I can mix in backing tracks from my iPhone via the aux input and adjust the levels such that I can just jam along or input a metronome to practice scales, licks, etc. without disturbing anyone. Really nice, compact, inexpensive solution.
