They arrived today and within ten minutes I was using them with my Traveler Pro Series and a Philips SongBird music player. Playing with the knobs a bit I got an acceptable tone and was wandering around the house playing. Worth the price if you practice quite a bit and need to respect the neighbors or a room mate. The only problem I have with them is that I didn't buy them sooner. :-) close [-] An amp for your ears!

Don't expect these phones to be a monster amp-modeling wonder, they are not. What the amphone is, is a perfect clean amp just for you. Practice in private. Just put em on and "smoke" your leads in blistering overdrive/distortion. All without bothering a soul. Just remember the Twin pair is clean. The Lead pair is not. Don't expect Twin clean from the Lead or visa versa. Love 'em. And Sweetwater is just outstanding when it comes to it's products, delivery, and the customer care is above and beyond any other company on the planet. That's for real. Check 'em out for yourself and know that I am telling you the truth. close [-]

April 16, 2013 Music Background: Hobby guitarist. Great Product, needs longer cord
by Chris from Charleston, SC
The phones are great. Sound quality is astounding and the effects are way better than I expected. Well worth it for the money. The ONLY downside to these headphones is the cord. It's about 2 feet ... read more [+]shorter than it needs to be. For guitars with a front jack plate, it's not as bad...but for Les Pauls, 335's, etc, with a bottom jack plate, the cord barely reaches even when sitting down playing. Crappy design on an otherwise great product. To make it worse, the cord runs to the left side 'phone, so it's an even longer stretch than if it ran to the right side (for a right handed player). Dear Vox/AudioTechnica: You clearly didn't test these phones with a guitarist before marketing them. Please spend 10 cents more and add an extra 2 ft of input jack cable to these 'phones and they will be perfect. close [-]
