A bad-*** midi controller that more than lives up to its word.

I'd give it a 5 star, but only because of the XY pad on the X-Station is in my view is a little bit cheapie. But, that aside, this machine works like a breeze. I use it with an AKG Perception 200 and run it through Reason 3.0 and Ableton 6. And guess what, although the presets on the X-Station sound like a very good entry level synth, I sample these sounds into Live and boy do these sounds truly become literal soundbank gems. The mic pre also sounds good, and I haven't even used the effects on the Novation. A real great machine. It works so well with Reason and Live, and can do so much on its own that for the me this guy is a professional machine. Hands down. I've yet to see something that comes to its shoulders.

The XStation works flawless with Live 5, Reason and many more. I am using it to produce my album everything from vocals to guitars runs straight into my XStation. The guy below must be doing something wrong it was very easy to setup with Live 5, hmmm maybe too easy, just check the Novation site to get the latest drivers it's that simple. The Syth, my god it sounds sooo good. Thanks Novation for a killer product.

X-station hassle

The x-station seemed like a dream-come-true. Unfortunately, and despite a few weeks of attempted "tech support," I could never get the driver to work with Ableton Live 5. Ironically, I bought it because it was reviewed as the best product for Live. I'm never touching Novation products again.
