Great value for the money compared to paying $4000-$5000 for a neve module and psu. This is close enough if you ask me and if you can't get your source to sound good through this, something is definitely wrong. Great eq for the bank. Awesome work from Dallas at Vintech.

...because the X81 rocks! This is a frontend that makes everything sound better. Easy to use, musical EQ, great pre, great build quality, quiet. Very versatile, run anything through it. And you can achieve the famous Neve sheen. Great value when you compare to the price of a Neve 1081 module. The EQ can be surgical without changing the overall sound. Very pro sounding. It may seem expensive upfront, but the first time you playback after tracking with it you'll know it was money well spent. Combine the X81 with an 1176LN or Distressor compressor and you'll be amazed.
