"Big Rig" Combo Sound in a Compact, Affordable Design

The SWR WorkingPro bass combo amps are the culmination of many years of hard work. Yes, those hardworking professionals at SWR spent years up on stage playing bass, night after night, set after set, just so you could reap the benefits of their experience. The end result? The WorkingPro Series - bass combo amps that have a big sound and lots of high-end features, all in an elegant enclosure that will fit quite nicely into the back seat of your average family car. The WorkingPro 15 has a "tilt-back" design that lets the sound project out into the room. It also has special Bass Intensifier circuitry and Wedge EQ that make sure you don't lose any of your tone with the enclosure at an angle. The WorkingPro 15 also has a 200-watt amp, a 15" Eminence speaker and Le Son TLX-1 piezo tweeter, three-band active EQ with sweepable midrange, effects send and return, side-mount input jack and even a built-in Limiter and Aural Enhancer. An LED indicates any clipping, while the back panel includes a balanced XLR direct line output with ground lift, a headphone out and a footswitch input.

SWR WorkingPro 15 Features at a Glance:
  • 200-watt bass combo amp with tilt-back design
  • 15" Eminence speaker with Le Son piezo tweeter
  • SWR preamp with limiter, three-band EQ and Aural Enhancer
  • Bass Intensifier and Wedge EQ circuitry
  • Balanced XLR direct out with ground lift

200-watt bass combo amp with tilt-back design
While the WorkingPro 15 is surprisingly compact, there's nothing small about its sound, thanks to the 200-watt power amp and the time-tested tilt-back enclosure, which can fill large rooms or even small halls with rock-solid bass. It's also a dream practice amp.

15" Eminence speaker with Le Son piezo tweeter
The SWR WorkingPro 15 comes standard with a 15" Eminence speaker. But the real surprise is the addition of a Le Son TLX-1 horn tweeter, which allows each and every note to be heard with outstanding clarity. This is a feature that's normally associated with bass amps costing many times as much as this one.

SWR preamp with limiter, three-band EQ and Aural Enhancer
To deliver on the promise of pro-quality sound, the WorkingPro 15 comes with a specially designed SWR preamp coupled to a three-band active EQ with sweepable midrange control and an integral Aural Enhancer. While other amps in this price range end up sounding muddy, this baby pumps out sound that's crisp and clean. The onboard limiter keeps the overall signal level from clipping.

Bass Intensifier and Wedge EQ circuitry
While tilt-back enclosures have been used for decades because of their room-filling sound. But often that comes at the expense of overall tone. Which is why the WorkingPro 15 comes fully equipped with both Bass Intensifier and Wedge EQ circuitry. These compensate for the loss of tone that has long plagued tilt-back designs. It used to be a choice of volume or tone. Now there's no more reason to compromise.

Balanced XLR direct out with ground lift
When you take the WorkingPro 15 into the studio, you can mic up the enclosure or you can use the balanced XLR direct out to get the signal right into your mixer without the need for another open mic. A ground lift function eliminates annoying hum. Other features include a headphone output and a footswitch input, an effect send and return and a convenient power amp clip LED.

Beat on this THing for Over a Decade!

I was given this rig when I first started playing bass (12 years ago) I attached the SWR 2x10 cabinet and this thing would literally shake a whole bar. More than enough sound for those neigborhood gig... read more [+]s. I've beaten on this thing everytime I've played. This thing was built like a tank. Literally because moving it can be a bit of a challenge. Regardless I love the SWR tone. All of the EQs are sper easy to use. Since It has been 12 years the circuit board fried. (Which seems to be the only problem with SWR combo amp, from what I'm told) Hey after beating on this thing for over a decade I can't complain. In my opinon the SWR 1x15 combo is far better than the Ampeg 1x15 combo. I've played though that, and the Ampeg gives you a very thin shallow sound. Nothin like SWR can give you Buy this I promise that you won't go wrong! close [-]

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
