Peavey Windsor Studio ReviewsSweetwater Advice

I love the Windsor! And the power sponge - what a great little knob to have for additional tone-shaping capabilities!
Customer Reviewsfrom Marshall, Michigan USA February 20, 2008 Music Background: Guitar Pro/Hobbyist for 45 years Great Little AmpThis amp can deliver the sweet complex harmonics, sustain, and feedback of a cranked 100W tube head at a volume that won't send you to the audiologist. But if you need/want volume it can also deliver. It is capable of dialing in a vast array of tones and the overall sound is amazing, especially considering it's diminutive size.from USA October 29, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist, Student, woship leader Not too shabbyThis is a great little tube amp. It does get the sounds it says, but it doesn't get super clean. The simulated XLR out is really nice, and so is the power sponge. The actual build I wasn't so thrilled about, once you get this amp cranking it rattles. If the house was on fie I would cry for losing it, but if the budget was tight would buy again.from Brandon Fl. April 26, 2009 Music Background: 40 years of Jazz,Funk Fusion,Rock-Studio Musician/Performer Nice tone but will not clean up.No matter how low the gain is,the tone was always slightly distorted. It sounded great but not what I was looking for. I just wanted a warm clean tube tone at moderate to low volume but it could not deliver. If you want a clean amp, don't buy this but if you like the warmth of a slightly distorded anp even at it's cleanest setting, then go for it.from Dallas, TX February 4, 2010 Music Background: Project Studio Musician / Engineer Not goodLook great on paper. Sounds very poor in person - especially with distortion. It's fair clean. Made in China, I don't think the production version is the same as the prototype demonstrated on You Tube. There are many better choices than this amp.
