No noise.

Everybody has been putting down Radial. Well I have a powerhouse with all slots full. No buzz. No power sag. I am currently drawing 1650mA without any problems. I don't use the feed switch, yet.Or the stereo link, yet. They will probably be used in my next one. I am using two of the omniports. More and more modules are using these ports, and not just Radial. With about 20 different companies making 500 chassis, It would be hard and expensive to test them all.And they all cost about the same. My first is a Neve, it's okay. But the radial has more options for a decent price. I'm sticking with radial

Good product, but difficult to load

I thought I had reviewed this right after I bought it last year, but I don't see it here, and I think there's some information a prospective buyer should know. Firstly, in the end, it's a terrific 500 chassis -- reliable power, great layout for connecting modules via switching on the back panel. The problem is that it is an extremely difficult chassis to load. I had to remove the alignment tray from the bottom of the unit in order to get standard modules to fit. Radial does say it's ok to remove it to allow "non-compliant" modules to fit. But when was the last time someone referred to an API 512C or 550A as non-compliant? Even with the bottom tray removed, I had to remove the top panel to feed modules into place. The top was removed initially to allow removal of the alignment tray, but I had to remove it again (no small feat with 13 tiny allen screws!) when I realized there was no other way to securely seat the modules. It is tiiiiight! And God forbid you need to remove a single module once installed. You either have to pull the chassis out of the rack and remove the top, or you have to try some very questionable use of, say, a spatula to free it (not recommended). One of the points of the 500 form factor system is the ability to relatively quickly switch out components if desired. Although I love how the unit works once all components are loaded, I do not look forward to the day I might have to send a module out for servicing.
