Customer Reviewsfrom Winter Park, FL USA August 16, 2011Music Background: Recording Engineer and Vocalist Very nice mic with a very nice priceI have two of this mics and use them for leads on my Metal band. Our vocal style is pretty much operatic so we needed to be able to move freely on the stage and avoid feedback while getting vocal clarity. I was amazed to find a wireless vocal microphone with a supercardioid pattern in such a low price. I got one of this as a present and try it with my band and it was not bad at all. Then I called my sales engineer at Sweetwater to order another one. It turned to be the perfect solution for our low budget. I can tell that other mics could sound better, especially this AKG WMS450 is not as warm as other mics I’ve used but it has great clarity and its extremely easy to use. I can also say that the construction is not very sturdy. I feel that I should be very careful or it might brake, but as of today it’s still intact. (I accidentally dropped it form around two feet and it’s still working fine). Finally, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of hard case. The one that I got as a present came in a nice hard-shell plastic case; but the one that I bough afterwards came in a cardbox case. I think that this microphone is very nice and a great value for the price.
