great modeling amp....easy to use and effects are higher quality than most that you see (built in the amp, I mean). You can here a hint of real tube sound....very crisp. Like they say, nothing matches the real thing. But this amp comes close to so many. It has the classic rock sounds of yesterday and today's latest hot wired amp sounds. Maybe using the extension speaker out to a Fender or Marshall cabinet might make it more authentic sounding to those amps, but overall it's a very versatile and great sounding amp. May 1, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist in recording, bass, guitar, keybords I tried the USB to my computer and used the included Reaper software, but the latency was so bad that I couldn't use it. I don't know if my computer was the problem or what, but it wasn't worth the time to figure it out when I have a Tascam 2488 MKII sitting there. So I used the headphone/recording out on the amp to the mixer. It works and sounds great. It lacks the actual miked amp sound, but it does lay down great recording sounds. I played it with my band with it and I was able to find quite a few different settings that worked well and complimented the other guitarist and the bands overall sound. This amp can work for a variety of styles. I haven't tried it with the Sampra foot controllers, but I'm sure it the possibilities are almost endless.
