From Our Research Team:Studio-quality Vocal Effects Onstage and at Your Feet! The TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 makes it easier than ever to generate great-sounding vocal harmonies right onstage. You can create up to eight harmony voices and control them from your guitar, MIDI keyboard or even from your MP3 player. Six effects blocks provide reverb, delay, doubling, pitch-shifting, distortion, and megaphone effects. The sturdy floor-based VoiceLive2 also includes a digitally controlled mic preamp that lets you adjust its gain even while you're singing, and its Tone algorithm automatically adjusts EQ, de-essing, and compression functions for you. VoiceLive 2 is a real performer's performer!TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 at a Glance:
Make amazing, realistic harmonies right onstage Now it's easier than ever to lead your own vocal backup group and sound rich and authentically human at the same time. It starts with a guitar, MIDI keyboard or aux-input controlled vocal harmony algorithm with four intervals, each of which can be unison-doubled or eight discrete voices controlled by your MIDI keyboard playing. And when you want to tap into your gospel soul, there's the completely new Choir algorithm that creates the massive multi-voice group vocal sound to bring home those memorable choruses. Automatic functions let you concentrate on your performance When you're worrying about parameter settings, you spend less time focusing on your music. That's why TC-Helicon automated several of VoiceLive 2's features. Auto Mic Gain lets you set the mic gain from a standing position just by singing. Once this is done there are no knobs to be jostled in transit and you can still do manual tweaks if you want to. Is feedback a problem? An all new Auto Gate listens to you and adjusts to reduce feedback and effects leak-through while you're not singing. Check out the Auto Tone function: a single push of the Tone button engages studio quality Shape EQ, compression and de-essing that adapts to the tonal range of your singing style and voice for increased impact and smoothed dynamics. Finally your live singing can have that studio polish. Reverb and Delay ducking lets you increase the sustaining tail of your reverb and delay effects while carving out plenty of room for your lyrics with ducking. The level of the effects is reduced while you sing and then subtly increases after your last syllable for a paradoxical deeper ambience with enhanced intelligibility. Of course, this is all automatic; just select a ducking reverb or delay style, and VoiceLive 2 does the rest. Add effects to further enhance your vocals In addition to vocal harmony, you can construct or select preset effect chains containing effects to distort your voice, clone your voice (use up to four voices of humanized unison overdubs in addition to the eight harmony voices to fatten up your sound), expand your space (incredible reverbs), and add subtle to intense modulation effects. Individual switches to easily access effects Having a large chain of effects won't do as much good if you can't add and remove links in the chain when the mood strikes. The individual stompbox footswitches for Harmony, Doubling, Mod, Reverb, Delay and FX give you the flexibility to layer or simplify at will. Also, there's a Shortcut footswitch that can be assigned to add other interesting features such as tap tempo, harmony hold and others. There is no separation between Song mode and Preset mode as there was in the classic VoiceLive; each preset can have up to 50 steps each of which can contain a different preset or a simple modification of the main preset. i bought the VL2 just over a month ago and truly had every intention of returning it within the 30 day period) if it did not live up to my standards. I'm heavy into recording but i also wanted somethi... read more [+]ng to possibly play out with. i've always been into harmony. the first couple of weeks i put the VL2 up on my computer desk and put it through it's paces with my DAW (Cakewalk Sonar X1 Pro) and my audio interface (RME FF400 <-- also purchased @ Sweetwater). i used both the MIDI and SPDIF interfaces on VL2 and was able to send an audio clip with a MIDI clip TO the VL2 from Sonar and have a harmony come back in a 3rd clip that followed the MIDI clip. it was impressive to say the least.December 17, 2012 Music Background: playing guitar and singing since 1965. i have used the Looper and it is VERY clear, the buttons on the VL2 and they respond very well - this is important in getting the Loops started at excactly the correct time. i've gone 5 deep with the loop and the original stays clear and present.. i've been able to use the Voice Support (software interface with the VL2) to move & copy presets around. i've place a bunch of "blank" presets at the beginning of the preset list so i can create customized presets. the effects are many, and have enough editing capability (even for a picky user like me.) again, i've had this for just over a month now and i have gotten to know it well enough to know that it will serve my needs for recording & have i mentioned that it sounds incredibly realistic on harmonies? it's also a super clean/quiet device. Downside? i wish the looping time was doubled (even with out "undo"). but i went into the purchase knowing knowing this timing limit and even @ that should not be a problem in 99% of what i want to use it for. all in all - i've looked around for a long time and at many other vocal processors, but this one exceeds my expectations. it may seem expensive for its size, but it delivers big bang for the bucks! close [-] TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2

There is so little that I have learned so far, and much much more that I look forward to learning in the future, when time permits. What a great piece of gear. Although I had to return the first one, it had a faulty screen. This pc of gear actually makes you sing better because you can hear when you are off key. I am just a novice at this so trying to adjust setting will be in the future although I have tried it it seems easy but for me not necessary because of all the presets, there are plenty to choose from. you will not be let down with this purchase. close [-]
