Reviewsbased on 3 reviewsthe BEST volume pedal on the market...
by Brad Spead from Grand Rapids, MI
I was in the market for a volume pedal, and having recently bought the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde pedal, i decided to check this pedal out. I don't know why no other company has thought to use LED's o... read more [+]n a volume pedal, but its absolutely brilliant. The LED's are very bright, and are easily visible in any setting (they look sweet doing swells too!). July 21, 2010 Music Background: active musician, hobbyist, blues/rock/jazz/fusion guitarist Because of the LED's i found myself using this alot to clean up my overdrive signal, rolling it back to about 5 for a cleaner signal. The pedal is very smooth, and the internal workings is better than alot of other volume pedals that use a string and pot internally (its basically the same mechanics as most wah pedals). To most people, volume pedals are volume pedals, and if you're looking for something to simply cut your signal and get your tuner out of the signal chain, this probably isn't for you. But if you want a volume pedal that is easy to use, smooth, durable, and has BRIGHT LED's to know EXACTLY where you are sound-wise, buy this pedal close [-] Easy to use, clean sound, buffer works great!

Just purchased this pedal after my Ernie Ball VP Jr died mid-performance. Just needed the "wheel" to be tightened, but still! The Visual Sound pedal, not being the "string and pot" mechanism, is ... read more [+]extremely smooth! The LED's to show where you are are great for quick reorienting to original volume after working swells - you might think it gimmicky but it works great! Operation is very smooth, in fact noticeably smoother and cleaner than the Ernie Ball. Pedal feels firm, but very easy to operate.January 23, 2011 Music Background: Semi-pro musician/guitarist for almost 40 years I have a large pedal board with about 10 true-bypass pedals (mostly Keeley modded) so my clean after-pedal and full bypass volumes are very different - the buffer on the Visual Volume worked just as described and I was able to equalize my clean pedal chain volume with my full bypass volume - VERY happy about that. Only downside is that the buffer volume adjustment is inside the bottom of the pedal, not on the outside, so it took a few tries to get it right. Didn't give it a 5 because it's a volume pedal - not life changing - but it's the best I've used! It is bigger than the Ernie Ball so I had to move some things around on my pedal board, but I'm happy with it. close [-] Not as good as I expected but still real good.

I is a real good pedal, but it does seem to such tone even if they claim it has a buffer in it. I have a boss Tuner that I had at the first of my signal chain and it has a built in buffer and when I g... read more [+]ot the V. S. Volume I put it in the tuner out jack and my tone has really suffered from it and I do have it in active mode for those who are wondering. But as for as features you can not ask for more. It has everything your will ever want or need out of a volume pedal. And it was not as big as I had heard in alot of reviews. And the only other thing I can say is that the sound still can be heard if the pedal is not all the way down even if all the lights are off the sound still there, but very quit you just have to make sure it's all the way down no big deal just thought I would mention that. But like I said it is a good volume with all the features you need and want. And those features make up for the tone suck. So buy this and a good buffer and your still probably coming out cheaper than a booteek volume pedal but you have more features. close [-]
