The Horizon Series Vienna Harps collection will give your music the lush romanticism that recalls the great days of the symphony orchestra. By the middle of the 19th century instrumentation for two harps was firmly established in big orchestras. In recognition of this the Vienna Symphonic Library created Vienna Harps, a beautiful edition featuring two different harps with different characteristics.

Two distinct harps: one with single notes and an extensive selection of glissandos
The first harp in the Vienna Harps collection is taken completely from the Vienna Symphonic Library’s Pro Edition and encompasses not only single note samples but also an extensive collection of glissandos. All scales are available in major and minor keys as well as in numerous tempos and tone ranges to ensure the highest flexibility. Also, a great variety of glissandos on four strings allows for countless possible combinations. This comprehensive selection of performance elements and articulations is what makes Vienna Harps and all the VSL series so musical and filled with creative possibilities.

Second harp with additional single-note articulations and soft tremolo effects
The Vienna Harps collection's second harp boasts an even richer collection of single note samples. Besides standard playing techniques like flageolet, près-de-la-table and mutes, it also contains additional pedal glissandos and articulations played with fingernails. This harp additionally includes a set of bisbigliando samples. This "whispering" sound effect is created by soft tremolo playing on the instrument. The combination of the two harps makes the Vienna Harps collection a one-of-a-kind instrumental delight that will add just the right touches of mystery and romanticism to your scores.

More than 6300 samples encompassing 11GB ensure that you'll be able to find just the right articulation and sound for your music.
