Every Acoustic Player Needs One

Don't perform without the Venue DI! This compact pedal solves the big problems all acoustic guitarists face, and at great value too. Just plug your acoustic guitar into the Venue DI and it'll get your signal ready to be plugged into the mixer, preserving that natural sound of your guitar for the whole audience to hear. More than that, you can use the onboard 5-band EQ to tune your sound so it fits in nicely with the other instruments onstage, or doesn't compete with your lead vocals. You'll also love the built-in tuner for quick tune ups in between songs. There's more to know about the Venue DI, though.

We've all been there — you're playing a tune, the vibe of the song kicks into the next gear, and you wish you could "turn up" your guitar sound really quickly. With the Venue DI, you can definitely do it. There's a boost footswitch, so it'll take just one tap to get the guitar sound where you want it. You can also adjust the boost ahead of time, so the "oomph" it gives you is perfect. You'll also be glad to hear that the Venue DI is fully prepared to help you fight potential problems with feedback — squealing noise won't ruin your set! Onboard, there's a Garret Null notch filter that helps you kill feedback. Another protective measure is the phase inversion switch.

When you're taking your acoustic guitar to the stage, you want to perform with confidence. You want control over your sound, you want to stay in tune, and you want to make sure feedback never gets in the way of your sound. LR Baggs helps you do all of these things with the handy Venue DI. A carrying case even comes with it!

Amazing Purchase

For being a 1st time customer, I was genuinely surprised how quick shipment was. Product came in perfect condition and works really well with my acoustic guitar.

I FOUND MY SOUND !!!!

With my recent acquisition of a Taylor 224ce DLX Koa acoustic guitar, I needed a DI to "dial in" my tone and the sound I had been looking for. The LR Baggs Venue DI accomplished the task! I am still just a bedroom basement player, but as my skills improve, I want to be ready to take it to the stage - whenever that day arrives. After adding the LR Baggs Venue to my acoustic board and dialing in the EQ, I feel I have NO WORRIES when it comes to any feedback or "quack" from either my Taylor of my Yamaha acoustic. As I have said in other reviews of gear that I have picked up in person at Sweetwater, I would rather drive the 1.5 hours from Toledo, Ohio for a pack of guitar picks than ever step foot in a "box guitar store" ever again! Although, for this purchase, I went the online route and I am totally satisfied !

If you have not made the trip to Sweetwater, even if it is a bit of a drive, make a "day trip" out of it. I promise you will enjoy the experience!

LR Baggs Venue Preamp

I'm very happy with this preamp. Have run my PRS acoustic and a Godin nylon string guitar through it and the sound is excellent. It's nice having a DI, EQ, tuner all in one unit. I was able to get lots of gain with this unit with no feedback. I discovered that if I want a little grit in my sound, it's possible to raise the gain and drive the preamp a little. This unit also has a boost switch, which is handy for soloing. I use a very minimal pedal board. This is perfect. Glad I got it.

Great

It's f-ing great buy it. I bought it for my Gibson Dove and it's kick ___ Eq is bass, lo mid w sweep, hi mid w sweep, treble, presence, notch, phase, muted tuner, boost w adjustable volume. 1/4" and xlr out. Gain has a bit of soft knee compression but very slight which I like. And of course there's a separate volume out. It enabled me to play my "real guitar" on an actual gig.

Excellent!

Typical of L.R. Baggs equipment, the Venue is excellent. While it's engineered for guitar, I use it with a Gibson mandolin and still get amazing results. I'm also using an L.R. Baggs pickup on the mandolin and both seem to be designed to bring out the most in the instrument. The Venue may be just a little pricey but in actuality, it's worth the money for everything it does to make me sound good on stage.
